One of Little Miss' favorite school lunches I made her last Halloween was Spider Web Pizza. So, of course, I had to make it again!

Lunch Made Easy: Luck of the Irish

Saint Patrick is the most well known patron saint of Ireland.
St. Patrick's Day (basically) commemorates him and the arrival of Christianity in Ireland. It was made an official feast day in the early seventeenth century but has become a celebration of Irish culture in general.
Keeley (meaning beautiful in Gaelic) was given to me not only because of our Irish heritage but because I was born right in between the Ides of March and St. Patrick's Day (on the 16th - this Friday). I also was given our family name that moved to the States from Ireland as my middle name (McGuire).
My Irish ancestry is something I cherish and love sharing with my daughter.

My bento blogger friends and I are doing a St. Patty's Day blog hop today ~ Rather then waiting until the end of the week, we figured share ideas now so that y'all can use them! Right?! :)
I'm really excited to see every one's work.

Lunch Made Easy: Tuesday Tiers

I thought I would give Little Miss a change up for her lunch tomorrow and use her ladybug tiered bento box. It's been a long while since she's had a school lunch in it. :)

Lunch Made Easy: Christmas Dinner

What a busy morning! I just got back from Little Miss's school - today is their last day before break. I went because I dropped her off lunch, warm. :)

Let me explain - Today at her school, all the kids are partaking in "Christmas Dinner" for lunch. The school is providing free of charge for all students Ham, Potatoes & Gravy, Corn, Rolls, and misc Desserts. Since I already know they cannot guarantee me that the food does not have peanuts, peanut warnings, or been cross-contaminated in their kitchens I always make her lunches.

She was bumming because she wanted to have lunch just like everyone else (minus a few other students with allergies too). So I surprised her with a lunch just like the other kids, that I know is safe for her, and dropped it off so it'd be warm and ready to eat for lunch time. She was so thrilled!!

Lunch Made Easy: Domo-Kun Bento

Oh Domo, you crazy little creature you...
For those of you who don't know, Domo is a Japanese TV show character -- here's brief profile: "a strange creature that hatched from an egg. His body is stout but his heart is pure. Loves TV. Often causes trouble by daydreaming and not paying attention to things. Lets out explosive farts when upset. Favorite food is Japanese-style meat and potato stew. Least favorite food is Apples (a big mystery that's in his DNA)."
Gee I can't imagine why a six year old would like him. LOL

Lunch Made Easy: A Well "Rounded" Meal

Today's lunch is pretty simple but I thought it'd be fun if everything was round or circular in shape. :)

Lunch Made Easy: Submarine Expedition

So I had an idea for Little Miss's lunch this morning. It didn't turn out as well as I wanted but when I showed her she laughed and said it was the silliest one I've made. She loved it! That made me smile and well, pleasing her is all that really matters. :)

Lunch Made Easy: First Full Day of School

Today is Little Miss's first full day of school, meaning first lunch of first grade :) that's a lot of firsts! lol
Her teacher is just wonderful! She has been so great in communicating with me about her peanut allergy and in helping to make her classroom peanut free.  *Fingers crossed* the other parents are receptive and understanding.

Lunch Made Easy: "Picnic with P"

Lunch Made Easy: Daddy-Daughter Day

The month of August at my office is comparable to the Christmas season working retail... With that said, when my daughter's daycare provider gave me two weeks notice she was taking vacation this week (her last week before school starts) I was in a panic! I cannot take off time from work but thankfully, between her Dad and two very good friends, we were able to get her taken care of all week. *thank heavens!*

Lunch Made Easy: Recycling Strawberry Containers

This is a cute idea for recycling those plastic strawberry containers!
Not only that - if your kids lose or forget it at school, no biggy... I buy strawberries every week. lol :)
