Lunch Made Easy: Weekly School Round-Up #NutFree #GlutenFree #AllergyFriendly

What a fabulously fun last week and half!
I was in Las Vegas for the Food Allergy Bloggers Conference (#FABlogCon) until Monday. It was such a great experience - filled with laughter, tears, education, and surrounded by inspiring advocates within the gluten free & food allergy community.

I'll be sharing more from this year's conference in the next week or two, but you can read my recap from last year if you want to know more about it.

Just because this Mama is gone, Little Miss still has to eat! Here's a round-up of our latest lunch posts we've been sharing on Facebook and Instagram. Make sure you're following us there too!

Lunch Made Easy: @Planetbox for Track & Field Day #LBLmoms

Today is Little Miss' Track & Field Day at school for the third and fourth grade classes, which means they'll also be picnicing outside on the grass around the track for lunch.

To let her know I was thinking about her and how proud I am for doing her best, I made her this fun lunch filled with stars and encouraging words packed in our Planetbox Rover

Homemade Apple Pie: Gluten, Nut, Dairy, & Egg FREE #Recipe

"I started singing, bye bye Miss American Pie..."

"Bye bye" because this Homemade Apple Pie was gobbled up as soon as that knife hit it!

I was thrilled to have family in town last weekend from Indiana- My sister, grandmother, and aunt. They were staying by my folks house, and my younger brother's birthday happened just days prior. I knew we were going to be having a mini-celebration since everyone was here.

Celebration means one thing to me: Dessert!

I love baking up allergy friendly goodies for Little Miss and have no problems bringing our own to events. I get even more joy out of trying something new and when they pass the test of others, not ever knowing it's gluten free! What's even greater? This pie is also nut free, dairy free, & egg free. Boom.

Lunch Made Easy: For My Shining Star!

As I've said before, the great thing about fun school lunches is you can be creative but keep it simple at the same time.

Take this lunch for instance; it took me no longer than about 8 minutes to throw together but makes a big impact to a child!

{Allergy Friendly} Gluten, Nut, & Dairy Free:

(Lunch can easily be made Egg Free depending on the brand of bread you use.)

Snackable: Frozen Yogurt Star Pops ~ Made with Fresh Fruit!

My sister bought us this fantastic Wilton star pop mold, so I thought, what a fabulous idea to use the same premise behind the frozen yogurt bites I make for Little Miss' lunches and create fresh fruit, frozen yogurt pops with it!

Lunch Made Easy: Draft Day!

We're rather huge NFL fans in this household and Thursday night is DRAFT NIGHT! Finally!!

The fella is a diehard Lions fan.

I'm a diehard Colts fan. (Spare me your Peyton Manning condolences, please. I'm still in mourning.)

Believe it or not, my Little Miss is a HUGE football fan as well. She watches on Sunday afternoons with us religiously.

She has about 8 favorite teams, lol, so I chose one of them for her lunch tomorrow. Mostly because a star was the easiest to cut out that small for the helmet, hehe... and she really only loves the Cowboys because Sandy Squirrel (SpongeBob) is from Texas... I forgive her for it too. LOL

Lunch Made Easy: Happy Presidents' Day!

Here in the good ol' U. S. of A. Monday is recognized as Presidents' Day. Many schools have a three day weekend, but not Little Miss - off to school she goes! So, a fun themed bento seemed appropriate. :)

Lunch Made Easy: I love you to the moon and back.

I always like to incorporate things Little Miss is learning about in school into her lunches when I can. (Such as her Apple Day lunch or Very Hungry Caterpillar bentos to name a couple.)
Right now they have been learning about the solar system. They just finished learning about the sun and next are moving onto the moon and stars.

Lunch Made Easy: What's for Lunch on Wednesday?

Reminding all my bloggy-friends to check out What's for Lunch Wednesday?'s over at Bentolunch.net! A great place to link up your own creations and also get inspiration from other bento makers. :)

Lunch Made Easy: It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

I had the idea to make Little Miss's lunches an advent, of sorts. :) Every day I intend to somewhere include a number somehwere in her lunch with how many days are left until Christmas. As of Monday, there will be 27 days left. She was VERY excited when I told her I'd be doing this!

Lunch Made Easy: We are all made of Stars

Since I made Little Miss her lunch today, I've had the Moby song "We are all made of stars" stuck in my head, lol (thus the title). I realized I hadn't used my star sandwich cutter in a while so why not today then!

Lunch Made Easy: Daddy-Daughter Day

The month of August at my office is comparable to the Christmas season working retail... With that said, when my daughter's daycare provider gave me two weeks notice she was taking vacation this week (her last week before school starts) I was in a panic! I cannot take off time from work but thankfully, between her Dad and two very good friends, we were able to get her taken care of all week. *thank heavens!*
