{Baked} Gluten Free Macaroni Monster Eyes #HorizonTreats #Ad

Gluten Free Macaroni Monster Eyes: An Easy to Make & Fun Treat for Kids for Halloween
This post is sponsored by #HorizonOrganic. All opinions are my own. Read the full disclosure here.

One of the reasons I love Halloween so much is getting to create fun and ghoulish treats!

The main goal of my posts has always been to focus on the can-haves instead of the cannots, by creating smiles and fun with food. It's something I've done for my own Little Miss since she was first diagnosed with food allergies and later a gluten intolerance.

Being a typical child, one of her favorite foods is macaroni and cheese. So, I wanted to create a fun bite sized treat that I could pack her for lunch or even serve up at a Halloween party as a delicious bite.

These Baked Gluten Free Macaroni Monster Eyes are easy to make and your kiddos will smile and laugh as they pick them up to eat! All you need is one box of Horizon Organic Gluten Free White Cheddar Cheesy Mac, shredded cheese, and sliced olives.

Tips for a Safe & Happy Halloween with Food Allergies

Tips for a Safe & Happy Halloween with Food Allergies: Don't Be Scared, Be Prepared!
This post is sponsored by Nice 'n CLEAN. Read my full disclosure statement here.

This time of year the stress level of a food allergy parent skyrockets. Food centered holidays involving parties at school, church, with friends, and with family. I'm often asked how we handle them, especially Halloween. My answer: Don't be scared, be prepared!

Little Miss is now eleven and we have never shied away from participating in Trick or Treating. Since a young age, we have always had a plan in place and I've taught her how to handle situations.

That being said, it's important as parents we are prepared with how to deal with situations as they arise and should your child come in contact with an allergen. Always carry epinephrine auto-injectors, inhalers, antihistamines, and Nice 'n CLEAN Antibacterial Hand Wipes

Lunch Made Easy: Halloween Ideas for Kids

'Twas the week of Halloween, as the children prepared.
Costumes and buckets and goodies to share.
There were scary ghoblins and spooky ghosts,
but the tiny princesses were eager most.
Going door to door, teal pumpkins in sight.
Clinching each other hands, in fear of a fright!

Lunch Made Easy: Happy Halloween!

Right now, it's raining and thundering outside. It's suppose to continue through tomorrow (Halloween).

1) That stinks for taking photos - no natural light, lol, and 2) Trick or Treating might be a bust if it's crummy weather. Boo!

At least we can have fun with lunches, right? RIGHT! Woo!

For Little Miss' Halloween School Lunch, I made her an EasyLunchbox filled with vampires, bats, and creepy crawlies. What could be better than that!? ;)

Lunch Made Easy: Halloween Ideas

As I've said before on the blog, I love Halloween.

We enjoy making cute & scary foods + Little Miss is so creative coming up with costume ideas each year.

School lunch is always a fun way for us to "celebrate the spookiness" with creative touches - by use of colors, foods, picks, and cookie cutters to take it up a notch.

Here's one of our recent Halloween lunches {gluten free & allergy friendly}:

I know for families with food allergies it can be a scary time, but once you learn what works best during "trick or treating" time for your kids, it can be an enjoyable night with lots of laughs and silly costumes.
The same goes for Halloween parties. I love coming up and making cute themed foods and decorating my house for the holiday.
Halloween can be everything from oranges, black, greens, purples, pumpkins, spiders, vampires, ghosts, and more.

{Enjoy Life Foods Friday} Boom Choco Boom™ Lunchbox Fun #AllergyFriendly #GlutenFree

In case you missed our post last month, we recently partnered with Enjoy Life FoodsEach month we'll be featuring a different line of their amazing allergy free food products

All Enjoy Life products are free of the Top 8 Allergens and Gluten Free. They're made in a dedicated facility and have no artifical anything. They're also a member of the Non-GMO project

Last month, the task was to come up with fresh recipes and ideas using Plentils for lunch. This month, well it certainly was a challenge... my mission was to figure out clever ways to use Enjoy Life Foods Boom Choco Boom™ chocolate candy bars.

I love these candy bars. And I mean it, I love them like I want to marry them. They're delicious and addicting. But how was I going to incorporate candy bars into lunch ideas while trying to still maintain a healthy balanced meal? So, I put my thinking cap on and got to work.

There are days when simple and fast is best. As parents, we all know how quick the evenings go when we walk in the door from work, and the mornings seem to fly even faster before everyone shoots out the door.

Even with little time, adding just a few details can go a long with for a fun, holiday themed school lunch.

Lunch Made Easy: Happy Halloween Everyone!

Today is Halloween! Finally. :) lol
I have been making Little Miss Halloween lunches for almost two weeks now, sooooo I'm ready for a change up. ;)

They don't really "celebrate Halloween" at my daughter's school, so I've been doing my best to just try and make it fun for her...
