Lunch Made Easy: Tips for Packing Make Ahead School Lunches

When Mom (or Dad) is away, the kids will... starve?!

For parents of children with food allergies or on special diets, if we're out of town for business (or pleasure) we don't have the luxury of falling back on school cafeteria foods to feed the kiddos while we're gone.

Instead, we must plan ahead and stock up the fridge and freezer with allergy friendly foods.

I'm going to be gone over the next week and Little Miss will have family staying at the house with her so she doesn't miss school. (God bless them!) It's something we've done before and I know the better prepared I am in getting as much ready for her as possible, the smoother it is for all parties involved while I'm away.

Here are my tips for make ahead school lunches (and other ideas):

Lunch Made Easy: Chebe Gluten Free Mix - One Box, Five Lunches

When it comes to buying allergy friendly or gluten free foods, it can get expensive. I'm always trying to find new ways to share uses for products that can be budget friendly and also add fun to you or your child's school lunch box.

We have packed gluten & allergy free lunches with Chebe mixes before (click here to see previous posts including a pizza muffin recipe), but this time I wanted to show what you can do for a week with just one box!

Lunch Made Easy: Chebe Pizza Muffin (+ Recipe)

I've been using these Chebe Pizza Muffins in Little Miss' lunchbox for almost two months now. I've received a few comments and even emails asking me about them and to post the specifics of how I make them. Sooooo since Little Miss and I needed to bake up another batch over this past weekend, I decided to post the pics I took on the "how-to" with tomorrows lunch. :)

I was soooo excited to try this recipe out over the weekend. It was light and delicious! One this Mama would love to eat over and over again!

Lunch Made Easy: MOMables Grilled Frenchman (Gluten & Peanut FREE version)

The great thing about MOMables is you don't have to think. Seriously, because there are some days my brain has completely shut down before I even make it home

All the work is done for you. They give you the ideas, the ingredients, the directions, and you can choose how creative you want to be from there! In our case, also make them gluten and peanut free ~  Fantastic!
