Lunch Made Easy: Lost in Space

Lost in Space... or just in my kitchen, I'm not sure this time of morning. :)

I bought Little Miss a bag of "Space Adventures" Goldfish Crackers, so I thought it'd be cute to come up with something... "spacey" to incorporate them into the lunch.

I free-handed a sandwich into the shape of Jupiter Saturn, topping it with provolone and using my BC food write pens to add some color decoration.

Below the sandwich are the "Space Adventures" crackers, with one of the space ships flying over Jupiter as I type! ;)

Top left are some marshmallows, with three crescent moon shapes on top.
Next to it is a Sunbutter Granola Ball - I thought it kind of resembled a meteor. lol

A mini-box of raisins is also tucked in there.

On the right is a moon shaped silicone dish with a star shaped hard boiled egg, done in her egg mold, some blueberries & grapes, cantaloupe dices, and cauliflower florets.

Everything is packed into a Snapware container.

(A couple weeks ago there was a $3 off any one Snapware item coupon in the paper. This container was priced $3.99 so I only paid $0.99 for it. Mama loves a deal!)

ETA: Obviously I WAS lost in my kitchen this morning... I wrote Jupiter & not Saturn for her sandwich. LOL wowzas! Mama needs to go back to school...

  1. Love it! I've never seen those crackers. Great job of designing a bento to match! We are sitting here trying to come up with a theme for today...less than an hour til we leave so it might not be any them today!
