Little Lunch Lessons: Surviving Storms #TuesdayTeachings

I'm so glad to be back, now that the holidays are over, with our Little Lunch Lessons {Tuesday Teachings} series.

Each Tuesday, I try to tie into the theme for Little Miss' school lunch something we're reading about or learning. It can be a lesson from a song, book, or bible study.

This week, we're focusing on "surviving storms". Psalm 46:1 says God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

No matter how big our storm is, we must have faith and turn it over to God and trust he will see us through. Even in those storms, when we feel like we've hit rock bottom, we cannot lose sight of our many blessings.

For lunch, we packed a storm cloud sandwich made from Udi's gluten, dairy, nut, & soy free bread. It's filled with SunButter and honey.

Also packed is an umbrella made from half an Enjoy Life Foods gluten & top 8 allergen free Soft Baked Double Chocolate Brownie cookie and an umbrella handle pick. On the top right is a rainbow of veggies with dip - because after the storm, there's always a rainbow! ;) Lastly, a Buddy Fruits Apple Banana pouch.

Lunch is packed in an EasyLunchboxes container and completed with a Lunchbox Love Note that fit our "surviving storms" theme so perfectly. It was also a great place to write our verse, so Little Miss would remember the story of Paul and his shipwreck.

Little Miss got a new devotion/ bible storybook for Christmas from her great-grandpa and (step)great-grandma. It's called Jesus Calling by Sarah Young.

Each night, after we finish our usual bed time story, she has me read one of the stories from this book before I tuck her in for the night. It's been great to end our evenings on such a positive note and in reflection.

After reading about Paul and his shipwreck (Acts 27), as mentioned above, I was inspired for this weeks Little Lunch Lesson.
