@SurfSweets Snack Mix {Allergy Friendly & Gluten Free} #Recipe

We've really been focusing over the last year to cut out artificial colors, dyes, and GMO's as much as possible. It happens sometimes - let's face it - but if we can cut it significantly down, I feel like that's a great start!

Thankfully, we have Surf Sweets as a convenient and delicious treat.

Surf Sweets are an all-natural organic gummy candy & jelly bean company. They are Top 10 Allergen Free, Non-GMO, Free from Corn Syrup, Gluten, Artificial Colors, and Artificial Flavors. And delicious!

It's great knowing my daughter can snack on these at school or as a treat for dessert, at the movies, etc. and get 100% Vitamin C per serving!

That's why I wanted to take them a step further and create a yummy Snack Mix that we could enjoy as a family that same way. Great packed up for lunch or snack at school, served as a class treat, or even a container to munch on at the drive-in, at the park, or while camping. Who doesn't love a delicious trail mix?!

{Allergy Friendly & Gluten Free} This recipe can be easily adapted to suit your needs:

When I have a trail mix or snack mix, I want it to be the perfect blend of both salty & sweet. That's what really hits my taste buds. Mmm, salty chocolatey goodness...

After trying a few different combinations, this blend was the winner with my family!

Little Miss has in her EasyLunchboxes container a silicone cupcake liner filled with our bear-y delicious Surf Sweets Snack Mix, turkey roll-ups, cherub tomatoes, organic baby carrots, and organic black seedless grapes.

It's very simple to make and perfect for dividing out for portion control, class treat sizes, or serving up a scoop for snack.

Pack it up for the movies, the park, a road trip, or school. It's a yummy snack your whole family will enjoy!

We made ours gluten free by using Ener-g brand pretzels. They're free from gluten, wheat, casein, dairy, egg, soy, and nuts.

We also mixed it up with allergy friendly Enjoy Life Foods Mini Chips. They are gluten free and free from the Top 8 Allergens.

For another layer of sweet, we added golden raisins. You can sub them for regular California seedless, dried cranberries, or your preferred dried fruit of choice.

For those concerned with GMO's, make sure to do your homework. There are some great non-gmo popcorn companies which you can find out about here

Ingredients:
  • 2 Cups of Popped Popcorn
  • 1/2 Cup of Surf Sweets (I used a mix of Gummy Bears & Sour Berry Bears)
  • 1/2 Cup of Pretzels
  • 1/2 Cup of Golden Raisins (or preferred dried fruit)
  • 1/3 Cup of Chocolate Chips

Directions:
  1. In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients and toss together.
