Lunch Made Easy: Happy Birthday Jesus! {Reason for the Season}

As much fun as all the Santa, reindeer, and holiday music is, I really try to ensure Little Miss focuses on the {Reason for the Season}.

We like to celebrate on Christmas day by actually singing "Happy Birthday" to Jesus. So, I thought it'd be nice change up to pay a little lunchtime homage to the man upstairs.

Simple, yet still fun, and reminds her what Christmas is all about:

Little Miss has a SunButter & jelly sandwich on Udi's gluten, dairy, soy, and nut free bread. On top is a slice of cheese I decorate with food safe markers to look like a present. The bow is a plastic cupcake pick I purchased in a set from Hobby Lobby.

Beside the sandwich is a banana. I wrote our Advent Christmas Countdown number of {14 Days!} with a toothpick into the peel.

She also has carrot sticks and a few carrot coin sun bursts. Beside it is a cup of red seedless grapes and a pick that says "Happy Birthday Jesus!" on it.

Allergy Friendly Notes:
  • As pictured, this lunch box is gluten, peanut, and tree nut free.
  • This lunch can be made entirely dairy free by omitting the cheese or swapping it for non-dairy rice or soy based cheese.
  • Depending on the brand of bread you choose, you can also make this lunch entirely egg free.
