Little Miss has a romaine salad with cheddar cheese, carrots, and a slice of oven roasted deli turkey.
Top right is half a Barney Butter (almond butter ~ peanut free) & honey sandwich. Bottom right is a banana strawberry orange muffin I baked this morning. Little Miss's lunch is packed inside an EasyLunchBoxes container.
Mama has the same lunch with the exception of the half sandwich - I have lowfat cottage cheese instead.
That looks delicious! I once read an article in a parenting magazine about a mom who ate what she fed her child for a week... Her child ate mostly "kid food" so it wasn't the best diet. I couldn't help thinking while reading it, that I would BETTER off, if I ate what I fed my kids... I am working on a 31 Day Challenge of Teaching Good Eaters. My post tomorrow will be about packing a lunch (even if you're at home.) I'd like to share a picture of your lunch and a link to your site. Is that ok with you?
ReplyDeleteabsolutely Julie!
ReplyDeletewe typically are very good about lunches in our house ~ i pack mine while packing Little Miss's, so i make sure we both are getting our fruits & veggies. :) Holiday break has been a killer, lol, too many sweets and gooooooooood tempting foods. ;)
so it was time to kick it into gear, even though she doesn't go back to school until next week.
So impressed she eats a salad! My girls would eat everything but the lettuce. The muffin looks awesome, Happy New Year!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat looking salad! I am going to try out those muffins. My girls would love those!
ReplyDeleteYummy! This reminds me that I need to go to the grocery store lol. I've been sending Kidlet with a lot of soup lately :D Salad would be a nice change of pace!
