Celiac and the Beast Book & Shirt Giveaway!

So, let me tell you a little story... when Little Miss started her gluten free journey a few years ago, I started following and finding any gluten free blogs I could to learn more and also for ideas.

On that journey, I discovered the amazing and hilarious Erica Dermer of Celiac and the Beast. I also had the opportunity to finally meet her in person at the GFAF Expo in 2013.

She then ventured to Vegas, like I did, for the First Food Allergy Bloggers Conference last November where she gave me a copy of her book to read and review.

I started to read it immediately.
I laughed.
I learned.
I snorted even.

The Celiac journey isn't the same for everyone and Erica does an amazing job breaking down the facts, symptoms, and how to live a gluten-free life.

Just by the chapter titles alone, you can get an instant feel for Erica's tone and witty humor:

"Let's Talk About Butts: A Story of a Girl, Her Rectum, and the Scope that Love Her"
"Dining Out Part 1: Learning to Trust the Stranger Taking Your Order"
"Gluten Free Family & Events: How Not to Stab a Family Member at Thanksgiving"
... Just to name a few

There are curse words in her book, so just a prewarning... but it's real. It's not full of medical terminology you won't understand. She tells you the good, the bad, and the usually kept hush-hush GI troubles that having Celiac disease can cause you.

You can read her rave reviews of the book on Amazon by clicking HERE. You can also learn more about Erica by checking out her "About Me" page HERE.

What you also might not know is that Erica has a great line of shirts available for purchase, as well. I love attending Expos & conferences and see people sporting her gear!

You can even find people and places like Three-Time Cupcake Wars winner Kyra Bussanich of Kyra's Bakeshop and the crew of Zest Bakery wearing the shirts and/or hoodies.

Here's you chance to WIN the book

  1. Most of the time you don't associate humor with Celiac - that is the very reason Celiac and the Beast would be such a joy to read! Thank you for the opportunity - my son will benefit greatly from learning more about Celiac in a humorous manner.
