{New Product} @Planetbox JetPack Backpacks!

One of the questions I'm asked most frequently is how we store our lunches flat - either care wise or lunch bag recommendations.

Not every lunch is intricate, but when I take the time to make Little Miss something extra creative we typically send a lunch bag to keep it "neat" and organized. Thankfully Little Miss is quite accustomed to this, and bless her heart she loves showing off her Mama's creations, so she does a great job to not swing her bag all around or throw it in her locker.

One of the reasons she loves using her Planetbox lunch containers is because of their sleek look and how they nicely keep her foods organized and divided.

So, when our friends at Planetbox contacted us about their latest product - the New JetPack Backpacks - Little Miss was happy to test it out!

The new JetPack Backpack is designed to hold your Planetbox lunch boxes in the bottom compartment. Keeping them flat and separated.

It's also great, because the Planetbox lunch bags themselves can be bulky when trying to squeeze them in other backpacks, along with school books, homework, and class projects.

First, lets go over some of the specs and features -
  • An exclusive docking station (compartment) for your storing your Planetbox flat, making your lunch easily accessible.
  • Roomy main compartment for books, binder, and other large items.
  • Multiple zipper compartments/ pockets for organizing pencils, pens, and other small items.
  • Hidden zipper pocket to stash a phone, money, or keys.
  • Two side pockets for water bottles.

The JetPack backpack is offered in five fun designs: Dino Camo, Nebula, Botanical, Starry Blue, and Perfectly Pink.

Overall Bag Size: 12.5"L x 9.5"W x 17"H.
Straps: 20" to 34" (expands 14")
Main Compartment: 12"L x 8"W x 12.5"H.

There's enough room in the lunch box docking station to fit your Planetbox lunch bag, or multiple Planetbox lunch containers! That's a lot of food! Pictured bottom right in photo above, I have both a Shuttle & Rover containers comfortably inside.

Let's face it, sometimes - especially food allergy parents - we're packing multiple meals to school... Lunch, morning snacks, party treats, after school snacks, etc. So we need all the room and organization we can get!

And it's great for other items too! Here I've fit a Planetbox Rover AND my laptop! Knowing that Little Miss gets an iPad at school next year, my mind was already pondering ways to utilize this docking station area for that safely, as well.

Little Miss discovered it was also a great place for Library Books. It's great discovering other uses for the compartments when using the JetPack outside of school or on half days where no lunch is needed.

There's also a great little reflective pocket on the front of the bag that perfectly holds a phone, iPod, or calculator too.

One other item to note, the "shelf" on the inside of the bag that divides the main compartment from the lunch docking station comes apart. This is great if you have a lot of items, or larger items, and need to use the entire space of the backpack.

There is a velcro strip on the backside and then a zipper along the the rest of the "shelf". Then you can fold it out of the way, giving you complete access to the bottom of the bag, if needed.

Again, great for days maybe no lunch is needed, or outside of school, and you need more room.

Little Miss has already shown off her new JetPack to her friends that have come over. She can't wait to take it back to school!

  4. So glad you specified. I needed to know if it would fit two lunch boxes since I pack meals for a very long day. I haven't seen anywhere before that the separation shelf is adjustable. That sold me! Now if only they made one in black... Going over to buy one now!
