Lunch Made Easy: Toasted Cheese Pop Sandwiches!
I'm always looking for new fun ways to use my kitchen gadgets.
Just like with our Silver Dollar {Mini} Pancakes I made in our Whoopie Pie Maker, I came up with the idea to make shaped Toasted Cheese Sandwiches using our Pie Pop Maker for Little Miss' school lunch!
I buy these fun "maker machines" on clearance and you're darn tootin' I'm going to get as much use out of them as I can. lol
While the machine was heating, I took some Udi's gluten free bread slices and flattened them out as much as possible using a rolling pin. Then, I cut the shapes I was going to use with the cookie (pie dough) cutter that came with the machine to match its shapes.
Then, just as I would a pie pop, I place the bottom layer of bread down in the machine and added cheese, the pop stick, and top layer of bread. Shut the lid and after about one minute, I had these adorable Toasted Cheese Pops!
You could also use non-dairy cheese or other fillings of choice - like mini pepperonis for Pizza Pops, add lunch meat dices, or whatever you desire.

ReplyDeleteGotta say, those are too cute, and look so easy to do! Thanks for the ideas!
We do quite a bit of grilled cheese around here. I have a fun dinosaur bread cutter I use. Love this!
