{Christmas Countdown} Advent Lunches: Only 23 Days!

Two years ago, I began doing a Christmas countdown in Little Miss' lunches by noting the days left inside.

It's become tradition now to do our "Advent Lunches" - She loves knowing how many days there are until Christmas and telling her friends, as well. I begin it each year as her school lunches start up for the month of December.

Click on the colored text above to scroll through our past years of countdown lunches.

We started off this year with some fun sandwiches, made into little toy soldiers.

{23 Days Until Christmas!}

As mentioned above, Monday's lunch features some fun toy soldier sandwiches. They're made with Udi's gluten, nut, soy, & dairy free bread and filled with SunButter Natural Spread.

The faces are cupcake rings and the details of their bodies *ahem* I tried to make from melting Enjoy Life Chocolate Chips and piping them onto the sandwiches, but it got a little too thick and at that point I was already committed (lol) so use your imagination. ;)

In the center are two turkey roll-ups and the number 23 countdown carved into a zucchini slice.

Also packed are carrot sticks with zucchini bow cutouts and red seedless grapes. Two have little umbrella handle picks to make them look like ornaments.

Lunch is packed in an EasyLunchboxes container.
