Lunch Made Easy: Let Freedom Ring!

When my fellow bento bloggers decided to do a Fourth of July/ Patriotic Hop, the first thing I thought of was Martina McBride. You know the song... "Independence Day" (yeah, I went there - can you believe that song is almost 10 years old!? EEK! I love it still. Always will. The video too.)

Anyways, even though the song has a different meaning behind it, I love when she belts out "Let Freedom Ring!" and so that lead me to this lunch creation: The Liberty Bell.

Her SunButter & jelly Liberty Bell sandwich I cut out with a bell shaped cookie cutter from my Christmas cutter collection. I used the remaining crust pieces from her Udi's GF bread for rest of the bell. Topped with a slice of cheese that I drew on with my food safe markers ~ Had to add the crack detail. :)

The top two compartments are my "Stars & Stripes" ~
The stars are frozen yogurt: Blueberry, Strawberry, & Vanilla that I froze in a silicone star mold I bought from Target a few months ago. I had been waiting to use it for this. I have done these a few times before ~ see here ~ with other shapes. It's perfect because they're thawed by lunch time but still chilled and easy to eat.
The stripes are veggie straws: I only used the potato and tomato kind so they gave a "red & white stripe" effect like the flag.
Lunch is packed in our EasyLunchBoxes container.

The official blog hop doesn't go live until Friday AM ~
Then you'll be able to hop along and see some
AH-MAZING Patriotic/ 4th of July themed lunches,
next up being Bentoriffic ~ She ALWAYS amazes me with her lunches!!
