(Yeah these bad boys are so unhealthy, but it's only Fat Tuesday once a year! ENJOY!)
First, preheat oven to 350 degrees.I had a can of Pillsbury Grands Buttery Biscuits in my fridge so I thought they'd work perfectly. :) I laid them out on my lined baking sheet. I melted about 2 tbsp of butter and them spread it out over each biscuit (I didn't use ALL the 2 tbsp. - I'm not Paula Dean y'all!)
I then liberally sprinkled them with cinnamon and sugar. I have no idea how much, just until each was pretty coated, hehe :)Then I baked them for about 20 minutes... Ooo did they smell yummy too! After baking let cool completely.
In a bowl, I mixed 1 cup of powdered sugar, 1/2 tsp of vanilla, and approx 3 tsp of milk (you may need more depending on consistency). After mixing, I dipped each "cake" into the icing covering to my liking. (Yum!)
I think they turned out pretty darn cute... and tasty, to boot! If you noticed, I had 9 biscuits but only 8 made it to the plate. Hehe, I had to eat one *oh darn*!!
Don't mind my grubby appearance, I was in "creating mode"... *ahem* sure. LOL
Hmmmm ..... I'm thinking .....
ReplyDeleteWe don't have Grands but I do have some smaller biscuit cans in the fridge!
Yum! I think I'd prefer yours to my dripping with frosting & sugar ones!
ReplyDeleteThis tastes more like a sweet donut, lol... which is just a perfect treat for Little Miss and the fella as a surprise. :)
ReplyDeletePlus it's delish with a cup of coffe, hehe!
Very simple and so cute - I would say that they look better than regular king cake! ^^
ReplyDeleteMmmmmm. Those looks like puffs of pure joy!
ReplyDeleteYummy! I like to cheat like that!
