Only seven more days until Christmas! That also means we're onto number 7 of our 12 Days of Christmas song lunches.
This is our third year doing our December countdown with "Advent Lunches", but when we hit twelve Little Miss wanted me to incorporate the song into her lunch this year.
We've been having a little fun with this one - to tell you truth, it's been refreshing. Tonight, after I showed Little Miss her "Seven Swans a Swimming" EasyLunchbox, she fell to the floor laughing. Mission accomplished.
When I started thinking up ideas for "seven swans a swimming", what else would come to mind but a snorkeling swan... complete with water ring around its waist and blue flippers on its feet.
It might look complicated, but I assure you, it was actually very easy! I cutout the basic swan body shape, then the raft, its wing, and snorkel. Then it was just a matter of assembling the quesadilla. A bit of melted cheese helps hold all the bits together.
It's made from Udi's gluten, nut, soy, & dairy free tortillas and colored with food safe markers.
Also packed are turkey roll-ups topped with seven carrots cutout and shaped like 7's. The way they're assembled they look like a flock of birds, almost. :) And lastly, apple slices.
