Since Wednesday is her last full day of school for third grade, I figured we'd go out with a BANG and do something fun!
If you've been following us for a while, you know that just because school ends that doesn't mean packed lunches end. We pack all year! Food allergies & intolerance's don't go away just because it's summer break. So make sure to keep checking back for summer time ideas & recipes, as well.

Yup. Git-R-Done! It's Mater from Disney Pixars Cars Movie. Although, no lie, the fella guessed it was a cow. *sigh, men!*
This year marks the 140th running of the Kentucky Derby. My friends and I happen to be having a get together tomorrow evening, fancy Derby hats and all. So fun!
Little Miss helped me decorate my crazy over-the-top hat a few weeks ago, which sparked me telling her more about the Derby and the traditions that go along with it.
I figured a fun Kentucky Derby school lunch, complete with roses (the official flower of the Derby) was in order!

Lots of rainy days, little bursts of sunshine, and tons of sneezing in my house (got to love allergies!).
Little Miss is so happy to be gearing up for the end of school. Once May hits it feels like there are so many programs, fundraising events, and different activities going on... before you know it, it's June and school is basically done! Crazy.
The lunch packing never stops in this house, however. All through the summer, Little Miss still needs safe & healthy gluten free and allergy friendly lunches for the babysitter, visits with the grandparents, or on any road trips we may take.
