{Allergy Friendly} Savorfull August Box Review + Chicken & Mushrooms Recipe!

Each month, I'm planning on compiling a wrap-up review post of my monthly Savorfull boxes!

A one stop shop, if you will, to check out all the goodies it has to offer. (I will try to get this up sooner in the month, going forward.)

Little Miss is in love with her monthly "special green box of goodies". She practically barrels down the UPS guy when he comes with her special Savorfull delivery!

SunWise Foods Giveaway Winner!

I would like to thank everyone who took the time to enter the SunWise Foods Giveaway!

A big thank you, as well, to Gretchen with SunWise for being such a wonderful supporter of the food allergy community and FAAN walks. *HUGS*

Lunch Made Easy: Go Blue! (UofM Football)

 ♫ ♪ It's the most wonderful time of the year! ♫ ♪

That's right... FOOTBALL SEASON!!
We are *HUGE* football fans in our house ~ NFL & College ball. This Saturday night is an epic match of University of Michigan vs. Alabama!
Now, I love me some Nick Saban and Houndstooth but the Fella is a Michigan fan. His love for them has rubbed off on my Little Miss, as well. ;)

My baby girl started second grade today! *sniff sniff*
I am putting an end to this: No more growing. Nope! She's not allowed. ;)

Today was only a half day but Tuesday will be there first full day so I made her a special Second Grade bento lunch to celebrate going back-to-school.

{Allergy Friendly} SunWise Sandwiches Giveaway!

Since I first tried SunWise Foods, I have been in love!

I wrote a review post on their delicious pocket sandwiches back in February - Click here to view.

Unfortunately, Little Miss can no longer eat them since going gluten-free so Mama has been "forced" to eat on our supply in the freezer. Oh darn! ;) lol

The photo above is a sneak-peek into the lunch I packed for myself for tomorrow, featuring a SunWise sandwich.
I say sneak-peek because I'll be doing a big post about it when I get back... "Back from where?"

Lunch Made Easy: GF Pizza Boats

What do you do when you only have one slice of gluten-free bread left?
Transform a GF hot dog bun into Pizza Boats!

We love Udi's gluten free hot dog buns, for more than just dogs & brats. They're actually larger and more like a bakery style bun than your off-the-shelf "regular hot dog bun".

So Little Miss and I added some sauce, pepperoni, and cheese then toasted them just until melted.

They fit so perfectly inside her EasyLunchBoxes container. :)

Lunch is finished off with watermelon dices and a baby spinach side salad.

Her cute little chick bottle contains zesty italian dressing.

Lunch Made Easy: MOMables Monday - Pizza Leftovers

Taking a cue from a recent MOMables blog post, we used up gluten-free pizza leftovers for this lunchbox!

Food for Thought: Chewy Chocolate Mint Cookie Cups ~ Gluten, Nut, & Egg FREE

Since buying our Andes Creme de Menthe Baking Chips, I've been using them all over the place - added into Chobani Greek Yogurt, sprinkled into my coffee... anywhere to add a little "mint kick", that Little Miss and I love so much!

As we were grocery shopping, and picking up another bag, I was really craving some freshly baked cookies... so she and I put our thinking caps on and came up with these delicious little gems! Perfect for snacks, dessert, and even in the lunchbox. Yumm-o!

Lunch Made Easy: Back to School - What about Mom & Dad?

We all know "Back to School" season is upon us. That means early mornings, homework, after school sports/ clubs, and packing lunches.

As parents, we are so caught up in our kids lives and focusing on them... but what about us? What about lunches for Mom and Dad too?

While you're adjusting to the new school routines, go ahead and plan for yourself. If you start at the same time as back-to-school, it won't feel like "extra" work but an every day routine.

Lunch Made Easy: Tacos for Her, Nachos for Me!

Taco night is always a hit at our house, especially to Little Miss. She would have them twice a week if she could, lol...

I love taco night because that means leftovers for the easylunchboxes the next day!
Lunch = done.

There was *actually* enough left this time (I knowingly bought a little more ground beef than typical) for us both to have it in our lunches. Woo!

Lunch Made Easy: Keep it Simple

Some days I get home and I am so mentally exhausted I'd rather crawl into bed for the night... So keeping the lunchbox simple is a nice change. :)

Some days, simple is best!
